Pantera Ceramics makes a range of clay vessels, including cups, tumblers, herb and spice bowls, hanging planters, (grounded) planters, and altar containers.
For me, working with clay is about enjoying the materiality of clay itself, the minerals it is made of, that it has a “memory” of form.
A lot of the pieces I make are raw or partially glazed so that other people can enjoy that materiality too with the hope that it will help to ground them in whatever they use the pieces for, whether that’s cooking a good meal, planting a favorite cactus, or doing a ritual with their altar.
My visions for current projects are in exploring queer space/time vs. linear capitalist, (neo)colonial space/time…ever the vision, ever the challenge.
